About Me

Thanks for checking out my page! I’ve been interested in ham radio since building my first crystal radio when I was a kid. Up until recently I’ve only been a listener. When the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 hit I found myself with a lot of time on my hands and needed an outlet for my tinkering. I’ve been an audio engineer for nearly two decades and without having live shows or studio sessions I didn’t know what to do with myself. Turns out ham radio fills that need! Choosing gear, soldering cables, planning rigs, deploying rigs out in the field, activating POTA, Field Day, etc are a good stand in for pro audio work. I’ve enjoyed it so much I don’t know if I’m going back!

As of this writing I don’t have any content to share but the idea is as I progress though projects I’ll document them and write them up. My day job involves a lot of design and manufacturing so I may come up with some useful designs that I’ll share. The goal is to have a log of my ham radio activities here. We’ll see what happens with it. Failure is always an option!
